False teeth and dating
My life in the chair was excruciating—more in the pocketbook than in the mouth.Having to spend every spare penny on my teeth rather than on a new car, a vacation or even clothes that didn’t come from thrift shops was truly painful.
Nevertheless, I must admit that I love my overdentures.I wear dentures because of medical issues that happened with my teeth (bad pregnancy & car accident) & had to have them all removed. I couldn't date someone that ignored how seriously bad mouth issues can affect your overal health.Or how gross and unhygienic it is to not take care of your teeth.I chain-smoked (no one knew smoking causes gum disease), and flossing was just too much to ask for a 20-something-year-old who was rebelling against parental strictures.I had what the dentist called “gingivitis,” which got progressively worse. It wasn’t until I was 40 that my smile improved – but that’s because I spent more money than I could afford getting all my teeth capped.
